2012 & 2013 WCC All-Academic Team 

AS A JUNIOR IN 2012-13: Named to the WCC All-Academic Team for a second straight season … one of three players to participate in 10 events playing 27 rounds … tied for 2nd on the team with a 75.93 stroke average … had one top 10 and two top 20 finishes … had a team-high tying six sub-par rounds … shot a -3 (213) with rounds of 72, 70 and 71 to tie for 2nd place at the Saint Mary’s Invitational … matched his career-best score with a third-round 67 at the SCVB Pacific Invitational. Also had rounds of 74 and 71 for a season-best three round score of 212 (-4) … shot a 2-under 69 in the second round at the Arizona Intercollegiate … tied for 42nd place with a three-round score of 236 (+20) at the UCI Anteater Invitational … shared the first round lead with a 2-under 70 at the WCC Championship and ended tied for 16th with a three-round 221 (+5).

AS A SOPHOMORE IN 2011-12: Competed in 10 of 11 events for the Broncos as a sophomore following an outstanding summer campaign, playing in the 2011 Canadian Tour's ATB Financial Classic in his hometown of Calgary, Alberta and making the cut … his top collegiate finish as a sophomore came at the OGIO-Santa Barbara Intercollegiate where he placed tied for 13th behind rounds of 71, 75, and 73 - which was also a career-best finish … tied for 15th at the Cabo Collegiate with scores of 71, 72, and 73 … posted the Broncos’ best round (67) and three-round total (210) of the season at the Cowboy Classic in Arizona late in the spring season … finished tied for 34th at the WCC Championships with scores of 73, 77, and 80.
 
AS A FRESHMAN IN 2010-11:  Competed in six of the 12 events as a true freshman for the Broncos … tied for 17th at the Del Walker Intercollegiate shooting rounds of 71, 75, and 71, helping SCU win the event as a team … tied for 34th at the Desert Intercollegiate with rounds of 74, 81, and 72 … tied for 40th at the Anteater Invitational with rounds of 76, 75, and 78 … tied for 44th at the Barona Collegiate with a season-best 69, followed by rounds of 75 and 84.
 
HIGH SCHOOL: Member of Team Canada as a junior player, competing in the Stephen Ames Cup against Trinidad and Tobago in a Ryder Cup style event … one of just three players to represent his province on the Alberta Pacific Coast Amateur team in 2009 … was the runner-up at the 2009 Alberta Open … twice played in the Canada Cup as part of Team West … qualified as one of the top four juniors in Alberta, playing for the Alberta Interprovincial Junior Team in 2009 and 2010 … placed second at the Alberta Junior Boys Championship (Provincial Championship) in 2009 and 2010 … graduated from the Edge School in June of 2010 … Edge did not field a varsity golf team but offered extended athletic instruction within the curriculum.
 
PERSONAL: Son of Ron and Shona Lowe … has one younger brother, Mitch … enjoys a number of outdoor activities, including fly fishing and skiing … also played basketball and volleyball in high school … excellent student, elected as student body president at Edge School … earned a 4.0 G.P.A. throughout his four years of high school … honored with the Governor General’s Award for achieving the highest academic average at Edge School as a senior … volunteered at the Calgary Food Bank … also volunteered his time to help fundraise for the Right to Play initiative, which promotes athletics in developing countries ... He will be majoring in Accounting.
